Turn a Paper Cup into an Easter Bunny Basket in Just a Few Steps

Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the season than with a super simple and fun craft project? This adorable Easter bunny face basket is easy to make and perfect for kids! You can use it to hold Easter treats or give it as a cute gift. Here’s how to create your very own Easter bunny face basket out of a paper cup in just a few simple steps.

What You’ll Need:

  • White and pink card

  • Hole punch

  • Scissors

  • Ribbon

  • Glue

  • Pompoms (for the nose)

  • Pipe cleaners

  • Googly eyes

  • Paper cup

  • Gift tag (download from CraftyKidsPrintable.com)

Step 1: Create the Bunny Ears

Start by cutting out the bunny ears from the white card. The shape of a leaf works best for the ears, so be sure to make them nice and pointed. Once you have your white ear shapes cut out, take your pink card and cut out a smaller version of the same shape. The pink pieces will go inside the white ears to give them that perfect bunny look.

Next, cut your pipe cleaners into 1.5-inch lengths. These will be used for the whiskers!

Step 2: Assemble the Ears and Whiskers

Now, let’s put the ears together! Using glue, attach the smaller pink ear shapes to the larger white ear shapes. Then, glue the ears to the inside of the paper cup. Position them so they are sitting at the top of the cup, just like bunny ears poking out.

On the opposite side of the cup, glue the pipe cleaners in the center of the cup to create the bunny’s whiskers. You can glue them in a starburst pattern so that they fan out nicely.

Step 3: Add the Face Details

It’s time to give your bunny a face! Glue a pompom to the center where all the pipe cleaners meet – this will be the bunny’s cute little nose. Then, glue two googly eyes above the nose for that fun, expressive look.

Now, let’s add the finishing touches. Punch a hole in the top of the paper cup, and also in your gift tag (you can download this tag from CraftyKidsPrintable.com). Thread a ribbon through both holes and tie it securely to the cup. This will be the handle for your basket, making it easy to carry all those Easter treats!

This fun and easy craft is a great activity for kids and perfect for filling with candy, small toys, or even a gift. It’s simple, cute, and guaranteed to bring smiles to anyone who sees it.
